This utility suite brings together an uneven set of tools to eliminate the detritus of your system.

1-abc.net Utility Box is merely a menu to load and implement the publisher's system cleaning tools. The menu offers short tooltip descriptions of each application. Most users won't need the help file, but those who do will need to read German. Each of the tools operate independently and most use a wizard-like approach. While each offers a few options, most of the tools start with a single click, perform their duty, possibly request user intervention and finish.

The Hard Drive Washer quickly scans your drive to find temporary and junk files and lets you easily remove them. Surf Trail Washer removes browser junk and history files the same way, but adds an Automatic Washer function. Our testers disliked the Registry Washer as it repeatedly failed when finding entries it considered corrupted. Stronger than many similar programs, the File Washer has eight methods to eliminate a file. The File Encrypter has four methods to encrypt a file. Both functions were the strongest of the suite of utilities. A simple Startup Booster and Settings Organizer round out the suite.

While containing some powerful functions, this 10-day demo utility suite seems geared toward the inexperienced user. Most of the utilities lack the powerful configuration and flexible operation power users expect.
