jay dee or j dilla waz not only 1 of hip hop's finest producerz, he waz bordering on genius. he produced songz with a tribe called quest, the rootz, common, slum village ( the group he helped start) and otherz. he took the jazzy riffz and loopz of the late 80's and early 90's and updated them with a more modern sound ( ex:find a way by a.t.c.q.). hiz trackz alwayz had a soulful bounce to them (ex: reunion by slum village).
he'll definitely b missed.

The Best MC/Producer ever to touch the mic, J DILLAS lavish soundscapes articulate perfectly the appropriate sound bed for any EMcee deemed worthly enough to spit over any one of his thousands of stellar creations.
His complex song structure is unlike any of his contemporaries nor any to come before him. He is no less than the Miles Davis of HipHop Kulture.
