Jimmy coined the phrase "King of Bluegrass"

I've been a fan of Jimmy since he was with the Osborne Bros. Nobody has contributed more to this music! Just sit down and go over all his origional songs and arrangements.

"Dog bite your hide" Jimmy why did you up and die??

Jimmy was a true 5 star performer. Can I get a good "G" run ending for that?

Wonderful tenor voice with authentic backup.

Reviewer: Carrol Peterson

This goes to the heart of bluegrass vocal, and is reminiscent of Ralph Stanley's "high lonesome voice," with the occasional whooping highs of Little Richard thrown in and outdone.

Bluegrass Legend, for real

03-Dec-2004 12:08:36 PM
Reviewer: Tonopah Slim

The guy's a true and serious bluegrass legend, right up there with the Stanley Brothers and Bill Monroe (well, almost). That voice! Chills, man, chills.
