Mr. Harb's playing respects every note; there is no empty display of virtuosity here, only honest and loving attention to the music, which he presents transparently and with dignity. I wouldn't call this a "trademark" style as the opening page puts it; there are many whose ego disappears in the act of playing, but I wish there were more. I'm glad to have found Tariq Harb among these admirable musicians who put the music first and foremost.

Mr Harb has provided an invaluable selection of pieces for the intermediate guitarist who desires to please him/herself or an audience - with a wide variety of styles.
He has chosen delightful pieces from all periods-Renaissance to Tarrega, the father of the modern classical guitar technique.
The "big gun" Classic composers -Giuliani,Sor and Carulli- are well represented.
Mr Harb also has included works by the prolific and widely-performed 17th Century Spanish composer Gaspar Sanz-one of my personal favorites.
The Jordanian guitarist also demonstrates his technical skill with trills and ornaments, the appoggiatura and acciaccatura...which make the classical guitar such a spine-tingling instrument to listen to.
The beauty of his accentuation, pauses and slowing down is to be admired, too.
I enjoyed his violin performances.
But,as a hobbyist classical guitarist myself, it was the guitar tracks that obviously appealed most.
In fact, I have just reached for my music to experiment with some ideas gleaned from Mr Harb's playing!
Widely recommended to guitar students and the general listener alike.
Here are some of the most famous pieces in the guitar repertoire-presented in a refreshingly honest, no-frills fashion.
You are to be congratulated Mr Harb-for recording tracks which will enable thousands of eager guitar students to re-interpret these pieces - and find a treasure trove of new delights among them.

Pavana by Tarrega.
Tariq is so true when he plays, ıles ımotions ımanent de ses mılodiesı. I feel he's playing every note just for me. I can picture Venice, a gondola, and love words coming out of the guitar... music can be so powerful

Four words, I think, are sufficient. New, and very good!
