I first stumbled across this band when watching a Grey's Anatomy show. Yes, yes, very tacky way of discovering a song, but believe me, The Cinematic Orchestra takes you to places.
First, we have the beautiful melodies and rhythms that the singers nail.
Then the great ensemble. It's a perfect blend of stings, piano, and voice.
Finally, we have "To Build a Home." This song, led by a guest vocalist, is one of the most moving pieces of literature I have EVER come across. Never in my life have I heard something so beautiful crafted in my time. There's nothing sad about this song-dramatic, yes, but not "emo" or "sad." It's beauty like no other.
