Jimmy D holds his own...

You cannot compare Jimmy D Lane to SRV or Jimi, but he makes a great in between. What he make lack in guitar virtuoso, he makes up in the gritty blues vocal that he provides...its the blues, man, and it works for this listener!

Not Bad At All!

Has a style similar to SRV, yet with his own signature. I'd like to see more songs listed to get a better feel for this guitarist. But from what's available I can see why Double Trouble has taken to him. Look forward to a concert some day soon. If you liked SRV (& who didn't) then you'll like Jimmy D. Lane.

Following in the footsteps of people like SRV and his father is along hard road but with Double Trouble backing his play Jimmie D. Lane is off to a good start.

Certainly, is not Jimi Hendrix, but refreshes blues sound, clean guitar player (surely he has 1970's blues and rock guitarmen "school")Nice sound for rock and blues lovers. What to say about Double Trouble.. is enough to say it was S.R.V. band !! very good

Guitar playing is too raw.

21-Jun-2005 03:30:41 PM
Reviewer: tfcapes

Definitely not SRV but someone has to start somewhere. Double Trouble still has it but the guitar playing is very raw and likes the excellence of Double Trouble. I think Double Trouble needs to keep looking for that perfect combination they once had. And I am sure it is out there so guys keep looking and you still sound great. J.D. Lane is not your forte but he is a good guitar player and singer but not up to Double Trouble standards.............. T.Capes - Carrollton, Ga.
