Great music, lousy mix

What a shame to have poor production kill music by what appears to be a talented artists's efforts. Excellent groove with snappy beat and rap, retro feel bass-line and smooth rhythm loops. Poor production, perhaps in a misguided effort to bring a 8-track feel to the music, brings imported sharps and flats to the track. Creative use of technology aside, it takes a juicy T-bone suited for fine china and plops it on a dirty paper plate.

I saw this group perform at Privilege in Hollywood, and let me just say from first-hand experience that they come with a stage show and sound that hip hop is thirsting for. Their music is Michigan hip hop to the fullest... soulful for sure, but also innovative and unique. Keep your eye out for these cats... they're performers in the truest sense of the word. Their potential to make a major impact on hip hop is beyond just the midwest...

Now On music is exciting, refreshing, and deep! I had to find more about them so I found their sight at myspace.com/nowon and bought this Eye Level CD and their other one. The whole CD is mind blowing. I'm impressed with these guys comin' from the midwest and doin' big it in LA. The live show is unforgettable and leaves you wanting more.

I have all their CD's and I play them all the time. Their music is exciting and each song has its own uniqueness so no two songs sound the same. Their songs can have a major impact on hip hop listeners. Their live performances bring down the house everytime they hit the stage. They have become my favorite group!
