leela'z voice iz a pure throwback to "soul" singers of the 60's and early 70's. her lyricz r positive and make you feel good. she iz like a female anthony hamilton and her song choicez reflect that, real rhythm and bluez, without and interference from modern day monotony ( ex: no rapperz or puffy-esque samplez).
she haz music that can uplift femalez and give them hope, rather than reinforce negative stereotypez ( ex:my man cheated, now i'll cheat or u wish your girlfriend waz a freak like me). it's butter baby.

Simply beautiful voice, the throaty sound puts me in the mind of a few, Angie Stone,Latoiya Williams, Aretha, I am truely impressed and will look for her album.

WHAT a wonderful lady!! KILLER onstage & amazingly charming backstage! If you EVER get a chance to see her & her band live - DON"T MISS IT!! There's no reason why Leela won't have a genre-bustin' multi-decade career ahead of her!! There's not a bad track on this CD & she performs every one of them better than MANY seasoned folks I've seen! Picture a Delta Diva bouncing to modern beats, with a voice that plows through your heart. Her ballads tell a story that'll rip your heart out & the party grooves will put it back in upside down! The lady puts on church when she's onstage!! TRULY not to be missed!! I can't wait to see her again!! Last time I paid $20 - I'll pay $100 to see her again!! I KNOW I'll get my money's worth!! I defy anyone to prove me wrong!! Don Schmidt
