she waz truly ahead of her time. thiz music soundz like it waz recorded yesterday. she would stomp all these chicken head r&b kareoke singerz of today(keisha cole, rihanna, beyounce, dainty kane, cassie, etc.) thiz iz timeless classic music.
definitely nina simone - like with a funk edge.

I played her music in a funk band back in the day!'Get in there'was a tune you could listen and dance to all night, a D.C. staple! She attracted great players and let them do their thing sometimes better than on their own records, Larry Graham etc. That would make her unselfish , like Miles was, always searching for that 'new' thing!
