O.k., here we go with the funk

Now, this is more like it. It's a bit too "retro" for me; I'd like to see someone take the mostly-acoustic (i.e., no drum machines or loops) funk style of the 1970's and update it with more forward-thinking arrangements and beats. Not "new" like the junk that poses for funk so much these days, but "new" like a "what was that??!??" sort of thing where you do a doubletake and must search to the ends of the earth to find more. Anyway, this displays much promise and for getting the drums and timing right that's plenty enough for four stars. Excellent effort.
