Amazing melody, lyrics, and riffs

This CD is amazing for people who love all types of music. It includes something for everyone, including strong hooks and amazing guitar riffs. The lyrics are clever and original which leads the listener to actually LISTEN to the song. They also do something that most bands these days dont....ballads.

i absolutely love mayday parade, and i have been waiting for this new album for the longest time!! i would definitely say it has improved since the EP "tales told by dead friends," love the lyrics, and i think the vocals have a new touch to them, and theyre great!! i absolutely love it!! i love the fact that they had a cover/re-make of jamie all over because it is no doubt one of my favorite songs! my other favorite songs off "a lesson in romantics," besides jamie all over, are: jersey, if you wanted a song written about you all you had to do was ask, walk on water or drown, take this to heart, and champagne's for celebrating (i'll have a martini). they're all very catchy and more up-beat songs, and lyrics are great!! i think it was great that they re-did 'when i get home..' and the intro still throws me off lol. one thing that i dont like, are the long names, such as 'if you wanted a song written about you, all you had to do was ask' and 'you be the anchor that keeps my feet on the ground, i'll be the wings that keeps your heart in the clouds' it just reminds me too much of fall out boy titles and somewhat turns you off from the song, i mean, theyre amazing songs, i just think it would be better to keep it simple like 'jamie all over' and 'black cat' =] mayday parade is definitely an amazing band that is just taking off and i cant wait till theyre HUGE!! they're also some of the nicest people you'll ever meet, absolutely LOVE mayday parade!!<3
just give it a listen and check it out!!!
i guarantee that you'll get hooked!!

Mayday Parade is such an amazing band, I was expecting there cd to be amazing, and that is what i got. They are like one of those bands that you wish you could have known about when they just started making music, because they are just that great. They make catchy songs with great lyrics that you want to listen to on repeat.

You know that feeling you get when you find $20 dollars in the back pocket of your jeans? The feeling you get when you listen to this CD is like 50983234 times that. The band is strong instrumentally and vocally, and the lyrics are fantastic. A perfect soundtrack for anyone's summer.
