This is pure Jack White stuff...

If you put this music in the context for what the White Stripes/Jack White put forth...it is classic stuff. Melodic and full of poetic bounce, it reminds me of early Zeppelin/Robert Plant on some tracks. Raw, simplistic and innovative. I think back to the type music Al Yankovik set out to make in his parodies - his percussionist was thumping on an instrument case...a box! Yet the raw ability was present...as it is here. Give credit for what it is and not what you want it to be. And they put the whole compilation out here on download.com...i don't think they're just trying to make money.

The White Stripes are not generic or a same-sounding-songs band, Its real talent to NOT sound like all the other ***** out there, "Seven Nation Army" got me hooked. They are up there w/ these bands of which you should check too: Magnet-Lay-Lady-Lay(w/Gemma Hayes), Wilco-Passenger side, Beck-Debra, Low millions-Nicki, Sublime-My Ruca, Primus, Damian Rice & Big Bad Love-(soundtrack)....these are just a few talents too!

I found this to be a money grab album. A cheap tin cup for drums. No creativity here. A noise maker,no money shaker from me. I give it a thumbs down. My kids were making better music on their toys. Doesn't even rate a ***** Pistol's applause. Sorry guys try again.
