There's a sweet, plain, simple, non-assuming quality to Call and Response's music. It's beautiful and suggestive of less conflicted times than the ones we live in, and maybe that's the draw. This music presents a place to which one can escape. With lilting vocals and lulling melodies, it's nice to just close your eyes and go on a trip with this Bay Area quintet.
