I live off of the closest thing to a busy street in my town, and my room faces out towards it with four large windows. Usually I keep the blinds shut tight to avoid accidental peep shows resulting in possible car accidents, but last Friday, I put on The Sundance Kid and opened them wide. As lanes of exasperated commuters trudged home from New York, I flailed my arms, twisted my feet, swinging in circles to the wail of the melody and the catchy, upbeat chorus- for all to see. I sang the words I knew while laughter crept up around my lips and through the words, and turned the volume up so they could hear what orchestrated my spastic twitches pirouettes. I had two realizations: that in that moment I was purely happy, and that The Sundance Kid is an absolutly perfect song for dancing.
