First came across this band supporting, of all people Mansun at a venue in the West Midlands and was bowled over by their presence on stage, something akin to being at a Cure concert. As for the music, punks playing Genesis songs, I would describe it as?!! Maybe best decide yourself!!!

The Poet Dogs may not be to the taste of the last reviewer but they must be doing something right by the looks of their website, they are reported to be supporting the Wonderstuff soon and the BBC want to use their songs in a forthcoming series! Not bad for band just "keeping themselves amused!"

what was that?

The peot dogs say they strive away from medocrety and blandness, well they certainly aren't mediocre... they're rubbish; but they are bland.

1 out of 2 aint that bad.

reasons: production - a painfully bad guitar sound, cleched harmonics and no unique selling point.. the best i line i could give for these guys:

'The Poet Dogs new record? well it keeps them entertained anyway'
