I'm surprised, she didn't change any, and she can deliver any of her songs with just the same strictly personal rhyming and feelin as she did when young Neil (Sedaka) pretended to be in love with, guess who ? Just her..."Oh, Carol, I'm so in love with you..."
Old Pete would say: "It's been good to know ya" and I can only say the same.
She was and still is one of those stars who started shining a long time before their glittering would get our eyes stuck at her and our ears straight up and gladly listening to her new sound.
She used to be a songwriter much earlier than a singer songwriter and that was in the late fifties and, if I remember well, a great portion of the sixties.
Remember "Tapestry" ?
I'm so happy she made a come back and I'm hoping we'll get to hear more from her on this site.
Bravo, Carol!
