Strange, evocative, unique. Elora transports one to 15th Century England. The future is the past again. What is great to me is the musicianship displayed on each song, and the production is minimal at best. This is wonderful music that washes away the dust of everyday life.

Recently had the pleasure of seeing Erwilian in concert at the Northwest Folklife Festival in Seattle.
At first sight there were many unique instruments which caught my attention. Amazing how such simple and ancient instruments can come together to make such a rich and exciting sound. Some instruments were familiar: guitar, recorder, mandolin, and drums. New to me were hammered dulcimer, bouzouki, and a few sizes of recorder I've never seen before.
Highly recommended - this group plays with a serious amount of energy which really immersed me into the music. Unlike so many artists, I can tell that Erwilian is putting their all into the performance.
Music they play ranges from medieval to modern written by the band. Exciting to hear some of their studio material here after seeing them live.
