Dark, slow but still pull you into their dreamy warm vibe

Most of the basslines have a hugging texture that envolves all the sound, drum-kits, soundtrack samples, everything. The tunes are cut-up with these samples, not sure what they mean, but they are usually repeated quite a few times; so the overall effect is one of losing oneself in the words a little and going for a ride in the nice rolling beat and roller-coster bass. Most of the songs follow this basic formula although a few are a bit energetic and danceable, but all are equally listenable sitting down. On the whole nicely balanced and down to earth.

Anything-goes multi-mix of different styles mixed-in with D&B

Drawing from sources like 90's jungle for it's drum-patterns, and effortlessly switching to more laid-back d&b in the next section, the tunes retain the overall flavour by the exquisite use of bassline "whoom"-effects which serve to provide most of the animation and movement to the music apart from the obvious great drum-patterns. Samples used from movie soundtracks also add spice and a sense humour and are quite thought-provoking. There are all sorts of bits thrown in there, ranging from 80's house ("oo.....yea......ooo......yea"), raggae, as well other material like blues (i think it was blues!).

True to the artist's name with a vibrant and punchy bassline

To begin with I thought it was a joke; but then the actual song kicks in and I heard the most punchy drum-kit and whooming-bassline effects and then it cuts back to the soundtrack, which starts getting funny; then goes back to this high-tech feeling drum-kit and whoom-whoom bassline. You can actually feel the room vibrate as you play this; it's wickedly well put together.

Dark bad bass-line with a thumping kick-drum

Simple formula but effective; the artist lays out his bad-***** basslines and adds an ever-so-engaging kick-drum-based break-beat drum pattern and the result is this highly engaging tune "Kill Anyone". Sounds like this artist knows the exact right balance between dark gloomy bass-lines and more energetic rythms of drum and is not afraid to use it.

No holds barred almost jungle D&B drum onslaught

What really stands out for me is the drum patterns and the way they are entertainingly held together by voice soundtracks presumably out of a movie. The theme is that of an older man teaching a boy how to use the drum-kit and then that boy becomes so good at it that by the end of the record he is almost pumping those drums as fast as a machine.
