Rogers does, in fact, breath "new life" into some songs that have been completely worn out by every radio station in the christian music world (and I commend him for that). I'm glad, 'cause I've been sick of the status quo for a long time. However, Rogers might try to do something new............he obviously has the talent, and I (for one) would "LOVE" to hear some of his original stuff, and I bet others would, too.

Many artists have been drawn to christian music for many reasons: self- fulfillment,the desire to be heard (by someone), the opportunity to reach stardom for those who can't quite reach stardom in secular music (it happens).
But when Mr. Crouch plays there is something different. For forty years this artist has clearly forsaken any sort of "fame" motivation, and has rather proclaimed with astonishing skill and organization the un-adulterated glory of God... regardless of what the popular sentiment might be.
