Its like blues has come full circle

I've never heard anything so heart wrenching as this, it makes Jeff Buckley seem as shallow as a Busted single.

RJD2 much

Its all alright, thats about it, i think you should aspire to more than copying RJD2 tho, you can never beat a man who's done it all before you. The production all sounds a bit dated, but i guess that you're making the best out of what you have. Its like a Mark Knoppler guitar solo over an Enigma melodie. I guess all im saying is good try, but try to be a bit more edgier and experimental; after all this is electronica at the forefront of musical creativity.

Death from Above 1979

some things in life just dont add up

Why oh why oh why oh why do the White Stripes get unlimited airplay and bouyed up by journalists, Djs and Music Channels alike to the point of Nazi like progaganda when a band like DFA 1979 far exceed the stripes overbloated pretentious seudo-blues with a phil collinsesque drum beat. This two-peice is an equal partnership (unlike the stripes) there's no week link here, 100% get up and for nuts sake go for it. IT JUST MAKES BE WANNA GET DOWN A CLUB AND DANCE LIKE THE FREAK TODAYS POPULAR CULTURE DOESN'T LIKE US TO BE!!!

The Dears

I promise not to cry anymore

Why is it that a band from Canada can sing with less of an american accent than 90% of british bands? funny eh? One of the greatest songs of last year. A lead singer who i cant decide sounds more like Morrisey or suprisingly Damon Albarn. But thing about this chap is he could out sing the other pair in every department. I have never heard such an accomplished singer in my life; i even think he could possible be greater than the mighty jeff Buckley himself, more range more power if there ever was such a thing. And a such a singer backed with such a beutifully meandering song laments perfection. Gives these kiddas a medal!!
