Nice production
Great vocals and soft acoustic guitar intro. Great story line in this song that fit right in with today's Country. Pam Tillis is right on the money with this one, I like it!

Not Mary Chapin Carpenter at her best. This song reminds me of a 1967 protest song probably would have played better to an audience at Woodstock. The vocals are too husky and could use some fine tuning. Overall the musicianship is good and the song is just another folk song.

The vocals are good and the music is fair. The song is an up-tempo bouncy tune that really never gets off of the ground like so many other tunes of this nature.
The Sound is very similar to Country music of the 1980s; it is radio friendly and will probably receive some secondary radio airplay.

The vocals are okay here typical Lovette. The music is traditional sounding, and the song itself does not say or do much. Overall it is an okay production.

This has got to be the worst recording I have ever heard of this song. I am really surprised that the record label included this in this release collection. The vocals are weak and not convincing, the musicianship is very poor. This is basically the sound of a drugged up band.
Country sessions of the early 60s sound much more professional than this. If I can recall properly this artist although famous was never very high on the Top Country charts of the time. Overall if I was looking for a recording of this song I'd buy the version by Glen Campbell.
