Electric Limosine

One of the best electro-glam bands to come out of Oz!

Now to Electric Limosine...surely one of the best electro-glam bands in Australia today...if not anywhere. The song construction from these guys is always of a high standard. And one can easily tell that a lot of work and emphasis goes into this. The clever witty lyrics, the imposing vocoder melodies and rhythm - all top by infectious and memorable electrobeat. My favourite tracks are 'Come To My Party' and 'Remain Insane'. The throbbing bassline in the former, is so infectious that when all instruments come together - you find may find yourself moving about in a very strange manner...Well that's just me!

I seriously recommend you all check these great musicians out. 5 stars!

Song:

La Douceur Angevine by Tourlaville

This track is more than superb!!

I have enjoyed a lot of music in this genre (electro) none more so than this track - LE DOUCER ANGEVINE - It is quite literally a 'soundtrack' of quite epic and lush proportions. The producer Tourlaville first creates (in the first ' bars)a romantic seaside dreamscape - BEFORE thumping your brains out with ultra rhythmic drumbeats; which then collides perfectly with an enormously infectious nagging bassline. (This bassline is no ordinary bassline as it completely takes over your head) Then comes the french vocal courier who effortlessly weaves in and out of the overall soundscape like a centipede through broken wood. There is a melange of musical sound in the background of this work that is hard to decipher yet easy to define. It seems to be the tail end of bass plucks, techno keys and spheres - but all coming together perfectly to creat LE DOUCER ANGEVINE. This is a journey for the fast paced commuters of the world. Paris, London, New York. Ant-like people scurring hither. All carrying there own personal angels and demons. This is a track for passionate first time lovers who barely know each others name but already somhow feel affinity. This is a track where one can easily see Jean Reno pursuing hooded superfit monks, across french railtracks. An excellent composition...by an excellent composer!

Tourlaville

To a talented composer like Tourlaville...music is life itself!

It's hard to review a man in some ways, when you have never met him. Yet, when it comes to music - sometimes, there is no need. I have listened to all the compositions by this gifted frenchman on this page; and believe me...I jest not when I say gifted. This review is by no means a vehicle to over-inflate the head of a less talented artist - who feels the need to call upon a friend who might help to bump up his downloads, so as in order to appear successful. These things do not occupy the mind of a 'true artist'. Only the product(ion). There is no milage in appearing successful. Or 'anything' other than what you are. And if you have got talent in music (or in anything come to think of it) - IT WILL OUT!

Tourlaville is a composer who endeavours to push boundaries with his melange of infectious beats and rhythms, with his curious techno vocals and melodies; on top of his obvious love of worldbeat fusion and alternative musical meanderings. The ordinary he is not; and I imagine his lust for leftfield creation is insatiable. He is an electro serpent, devouring all known sound to man; spitting out everything that tastes foul to him. He snakes around the outer regions of his own musical planet...searching for the ultimate tune!
