Free Coldplay?

A new Colplay album--Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends--is due to drop this June, and by way of promotion, the band's offering a free download of their first single "Violet Hill" from their own website (you'll need to fork over a few vitals to get it). Fans in the U.K., though, have a second choice: the May 7 issue of NME will include a free 7" of "Violet Hill" (dedicated sorts can even preorder the issue).

Oh, right, and we almost forgot, the band is also playing two free concerts: June 16 at London's Brixton Academy, and June 23 at Madison Square Garden in New York. Check Coldplay's website for details on how to get tickets.
