Editor's review

If Felix Da Housecat-era electronic music was nu-electro, what do we call the stuff that's blazing through trend-spotters' iPod earbuds now? The New-nu? Tiga was part of that second wave of trailblazers, no wonder he signed one of 2007's most talked-about producers, Boyz Noise (aka Alex Ridha). With so many other artists making that Earth-rocking apocalyptic electro that's so en vogue of late, what makes BN stand out from the rest (e.g. Justice, Riot in Belgium, Busy P)? It's his skilled hand behind the boards and the way he presents electro that's as toxically loud as it is pleasurably flawless. We bet genre godfathers Daft Punk are fans.

Biography

Alongside Justice, Soulwax, Tiga and Erol Alkan, Boys Noize is a fully paid-up member of a select crew that are leading the charge for 2007. It's no secret that dance music is back in vogue again, albeit in a whole new form with the rulebook ripped up; the rock kids are raving again and electronic acts are topping the charts.

With this in mind, it's very exciting to present the debut album from BOYS NOIZE, “aka Alex Ridha”, who's regarded by many as THE most exciting producer on the scene. The album is being released by Last Gang Records/Turbo Recordings in North America.

His music and productions have excited massive love from artists like Soulwax, Justice, Erol Alkan, Daft Punk and The Rapture and labels such as Kitsuné, Ed Banger, Last Gang, DJ Hell's Intl Gigolo and Tiga's Turbo Rec.

Remixes of Depeche Mode, Feist, British indie anthems “Banquet” by Bloc Party and “Everyday I Love You Less and Less” by Kaiser Chiefs have thrilled global DJs and crowds all over the world.

Imprint BOYSNOIZE REC. was founded by Ridha in 2005. It counts 16 releases (Boys Noize, Shadowdancer, Les Petits Pilous, etc.) and has established its own distinctive sound, achieving international recognition.

---------------------------------------- "Boys Noize is one of the most exciting producers of the year. His records have been thrilling people around the world.” Erol Alkan "The dirtiest clean I know" Feist "This Album is a KILLER! GREAT production. Most exciting DJ & Producer at the moment!" Soulwax “The best producer you can find at the moment.” Gildas & Masaya (Kitsuné/Daft Punk) "For most of the past 2 years, Boys Noize records have saved my life as a DJ." Tiga
