This application's lofty title attempts to obscure the fact that it's not much more than a gussied-up notepad. Computer Aided Brainstorming attempts to stimulate your brain by offering tools to facilitate the brainstorming process. The interface is basically a blank screen divided into two parts, but since the program delivers hints as a pop-up window, we questioned the need for dual panes. The program can jog your noggin by displaying a random word, a random question, a random picture, or something called Six Mood Cabs. However, the trial version only allows access to the first two options, making it tough to fully evaluate what the program can do. The hints we did get were quite uninspiring. For example, the questions are not even complete sentences. Because of the trial restrictions and ho-hum functionality, we suggest most users wait for this program to improve, or seek an alternative solution.

  CAB - Computer Aided Brainstorming

  It works - fast and effective

  Pros: It is fast and effective and it gets better and better. You have to have one to write down and ask questions and use the add-ons. It has helped us a lot at Cargo. Both with developing new products, further innovation and with developing new strategies for our company.

  Cons: As with everything - you have to get to used to using it. You have to have a facilitator that is used to using CAB. Or at least that is best.

  CAB - Computer Aided Brainstorming

  Good for innovation and creativity processes.

  Pros: Good for team processes where you need to come up with new ideas or develop ideas further. The brainstorm is fast. And it gets faster everytime we use CAB.

  Good add-ons also.

  I highly recommend it.

  Cons: It takes a litle time to see the benefits.

  You have to try it a litle bit.

  After 2,3 sessions you get the hand of it.
