Version: Capturex 1.4.0.190
Pros: Worked with a .wmv file
Cons: Gave an error message about "The pins aren't connected" when trying to load video from a dvd, and this wasn't discussed in the help section or online forum, so the software was useless to me.

Version: Capturex 1.4.0.190
Cons: This product is full of adware! It slowed my PC to a crawl. Do not install it or anything from Cliprex for that matter.

Version: Capturex 1.4.0.190
"Excellent!! It did what its supposed to do."
Pros: I had no problems installing, or using Capturex. It's very easy to use. If all you need is video stills...this program's all you need. I dont understand what all the negative reviews are about. It didnt screw up my browser, no adware, no pop ups..and I havent seen any difference in my computers performance since the install. I ran 2 different adware/spybot programs and nothing came up. It looks like a clean program. Anyhow, this is the second time I've installed Capturex for the free trial, and both times it worked perfectly. If you are reading this, and all you need to do is capture some video stills..theres no reason to look any further. Give this a shot. Its a quick download and a very basic program. It allows you to speed up and more importantly, slow down the video speed to a crawl, so its easy to grab the image you need.

"I registered for the express purpose of telling people TO NOT INSTALL THIS!"
Cons: AURG! I'm sure the player is FINE, but the added CRAP that comes with it screwed my browser. Yeah yeah, read the fine print, I know. Getting pop-ups up the wazoo now too. Feh. El-yuck.

Version: Capturex 1.4.0.190
Pros: Well, it used to work great for me when I downloaded it about a year ago and used it. Since then I got a new computer and decided to load Capturex on it.
I suggest just download it and see if it works. If it does, fine, if it doesn't than use something else, I would suggest HyperSnap. Also, I found NO spyware, viruses, or ads while using this program so it is OK to install.
Cons: I got two error messages that basically said that that Capturex didn't recognize the DVD. I got the "Pins are not connected" error message and the "Media does not exist" error message. Now I clicked on everything that I did the last time I used the program when I had my other computer and I even put in several DVD's to make sure that it wasn't the DVD's fault. Still Capturex did not work properly. I don't know why this program does not work like it used to but it just doesn't.
