From Fulgore: F CRC Calculator is a tool for calculating CRC32 and MD5 from any file. A file's CRC is a code, which is characteristic to the file content. It processes several files, with a files list and support drag and drop. A progress bar is also included to process large files. Has MD5 support (which is like CRC, another very common error detecting code). Support of files over 2GB. It's possible to add all files, which are in a specific folder.

Quickly calculate two common error-detecting codes for multiple files with this freeware application, although it has a few program quirks. F CRC Calculator's easy-to-use clear-cut interface supports the ability to drag and drop files. The utility calculates both the Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC) and Message Digest Algorithm-5 (MD5) values. F CRC Calculator displays the amount of time it consumed to calculate the values; usually less than a second. You can choose to compute either the CRC or the MD5 value or both. Results are saved in a simple text file for easy comparison with expected values. This isn't a perfect application. The MD5 values are represented by an * on the list, although the values are displayed below the list box. The drag-and-drop process does not work with folders, but they are easily selected from a standard Windows dialog. Despite these minor quirks, this quick and accurate freeware CRC and MD5 checker works well. Any level of user who downloads software would find F CRC Calulator a welcome toolbox addition.

  Pros: 1. Does exactly what it claims; CRC & MD5 matches File Analyzer (known good app)

  2. User friendly mostly, except for a few quirks, but easy to work around.

  3. Can select specific file or do whole group

  Cons: 1. Had to figure out to highlight selected file before "calculate" works; this is not well-communicated.

  2. Can't expand window; long path is truncated on display screen; however, file name is displayed in work space, so only part of path name is lost.
