It can launch any type of file in maximized, normal or minimized state. It can be configured to execute one task when the F key is pressed once and another task when it is pressed twice.

F Key Reprogrammer Pro claims to modify uses of your keyboard's function keys, but we encountered functionality problems. The program's utilitarian interface proved easy to operate and lets you easily modify operation of each function key, including F3 to F12 and the Escape key. You can program each function key to open personal files, applications, command parameters, or to launch Web addresses. To set the function, simply type in or browse for the item, and you're good to go. We like that each function key can be programmed to execute two different tasks, e.g., open Notepad when pressed once and shut down the PC when pressed twice. F Key Reprogrammer Pro worked--but executed the wrong tasks. For example, we programmed F3 to launch a specific URL, and though there were instances when it hit the target, most often it didn't. Additionally, F Key Reprogrammer Pro had trouble overriding the function key's native functionality, executing both the user-specified task and the built-in functionality. Its stingy two-day trial period and functionality kinks are certainly causes for concern. That said, we can't recommend this program.
