F-Secure Internet Security 2008 provides a complete and easy-to-use protection against all Internet threats, whether they are known or previously unidentified. F-Secure Internet Security 2008 includes an antivirus, an easy-to-use personal firewall, an improved antispyware and a new technology, F-Secure DeepGuard(tm), that constantly monitors the very heart of your computer, ensuring that no malicious programs can take over your computer even if you do not have all the latest updates. In addition, the product filters unwanted spam and so-called phishing attempts from your e-mail, and with the parental control, you can block access to Web sites with questionable content.

Key features: protects your computer against viruses, worms and unknown attacks; detects and removes spyware from your computer (anti-virus); protects your computer against hackers (firewall); helps you stay free from spam e-mail and phishing attempts (anti-spam); protects your children against unwanted Internet content. Version 2008 is Windows Vista compatible.

  Pros: Powerful engines are very good.

  Few false positives

  Cons: System slowdown.

  Elegant and safe

  Pros: - Easy installation,

  - Clear and simple user interface,

  - Quick scan,

  - Decent firewall,

  - Good detection, according to AV comparative

  - A product "install and forget"

  Cons: - Big installer package, on HDD too, but the program is still fast,

  - The price is high compared to other similar products

  BIG TIP IF PURCHASING BUY THOURGH MICROSOFT WEBSITE 19.99GBP RRP 39.99GBP

  Pros: easy to setup and use and no conflict errors like i had with norton.

  less annoying than norton 2008 which came pre-installed on my laptop, every time i switched on windows firewall would load first followed by norton firewall and a load of error mesages this has all stop since ive uninstalled norton. i did try avast home edition with zone alarm firewall, but didn't get on with that combination.

  Cons: 31.96GBP though f Secure web site

  slows system a little but not as much as norton or avast home with zone alarm.

  but thats the price you pay for secure web surfing

  OUTSTANDING

  Pros: This is truely turn it on and leave it alone.I have had this since December 2007 when I junked PCTOOLS because of problems. F-Secure security shield has worked flawlessly since I installed it along with Registery cleaner. They work GREAT.
