Publisher's description of GetPicturesList
From Tracking-celebs: If you like and collect pictures, you know about those new }one-click } hosting solutions that allow you to host pictures for free. Most of the times, those hostings do not give a direct link to the picture, but to an HTML page where the picture will be shown (along with some ads). Therefore making it impossible to download them all in one click through your DM. Well, this is exactly why GetPicturesList (GPL) will allow you to do. Plus, you can create your own rules yourself and turned it into a pictures/content grabber. Then, you can use GPL to download all content (movies/pictures) from a Web site that uses any kind of gallery system. All you need is the right rule. (Ask in GPL's forum for help if you need)Editor's review of GetPicturesList
This freeware Internet Explorer add-on quickly finds the proper links to download images from select Web sites, but it needs considerable setup to work properly. GetPictureList's interface seems simple enough until you drill down into the rule set. Lacking a manual or Help file, this program will simply frustrate users without RegExp programming experience.
GetPictureList setup is the most important part of the application. The program comes preinstalled with rules to download images from many major hosts. Unfortunately, this version is a couple of years old and many rules have changed. There are also many new hosting sites this app doesn't understand. A sparsely attended forum is available to request rule sets, or experienced RegExp programmers could build their own. When it works, GetPictureList is very easy to use. In Internet Explorer you merely right-click on a page of images and choose one of two options to get and send links to images.
With all the setup and RegExp programming we had to do to simply test GetPictureList, we can't recommended it for anyone other than dedicated image downloaders with RegExp experience. Others looking for a simple way to grab images should consider one of the many other programs in this genre.
