GetRight extends your file-downloading power by resuming broken downloads and accelerating them to make them faster and more flexible. GetRight now even supports BitTorrent downloads too. It can easily recover from problems such as lost connections and Windows crashing. You can use GetRight to schedule your downloads for later; it can dial your modem at the set time, download the files you want, then hang up or even shut down your computer when it is done. GetRight can use Mirror searching to find other places a file may be downloaded and then use the best site. It also can accelerate a file and download different pieces at the same time to speed up your downloads. GetRight easily manages all your downloads, making it easy to find what you have in progress, and track files you've finished so they don't get lost.

Version 6c may include unspecified updates, enhancements or bug fixes.

Broken connections, unwieldy file sizes, and computer crashes--oh, my! The pitfalls facing downloaders are many and varied, so we welcome a program that solves these problems. GetRight extends the ability of your browser's built-in downloading and provides useful features such as download scheduling, file segmenting, and error recovery from broken connections. The latest version improves its usefulness by extending support to Mozilla, Firefox, Netscape, and Opera. Once the easy-to-use application is installed and running, it springs into action when a download is detected from your browser. Because it minimizes to an icon in your system tray, make sure it's actually running when you begin a download. Resuming an interrupted download is as simple as double-clicking the file from the download history. We noticed no appreciable speed gain with segmented downloading over a broadband connection, but dial-up connections should see an increase. We give GetRight the green light for all users who regularly download files from the Internet.

  "Doesn't work with Opera, but otherwise a very good program."

  Pros: Does what it says, easily, simply. You set it and forget it.

  Cons: Doesn't work with Opera, which is my browser of choice.

  Pros: Works well with all browsers (Opera coment in the earlier review is incorrect). Downloads very nicely.

  "I LOVE GetRight-it does what I want, when & where I want."

  Pros: GetRight is simple and easy to use right away, but virtually every aspect of its operation may be configured to suit one's individual needs and tastes. It's interface is easy to understand and Headlight Software is very responsive and helpful.

  "can't do all I want"

  Pros: I can download some files withoutthe worry of the connection disappearing.

  Cons: I can't download from my yahoo email, or from sites like rapidshare, 4sharing ... as for the email it expects me to login again but there is no facility to do so, and for the other sites it loads the webpage instead of the file itself
