Publisher's description of Ghost Installer Studio

Ghost Installer Studio is a tool for rapidly building setups for Windows applications. It features intuitive IDE with a set of productivity and intuitive development, 11 project wizards for Borland Delphi, Builder, C++ Builder, and Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2002 and 2003 projects, install on demand via Web of the .NET Framework, MDAC, DirectX, Java VM, BDE, RSA encryption and personalized installation Keys, customizable installation look-and-feel with free-shape skins, extensive collection of 30 American, European, and Asian language packs.

Ghost Installer Demo has all the features included in the Standard version; in addition, it lets you test WebDeployed installations (on local host) and RSA SNK (without the ability to save projects and databases). The demo version is not intended for commercial use, so the installation project can not be saved nor its XML code viewed. However, using the Demo version you can build installations and test them. Installations, built with Demo version will show an anti-piracy message on startup.

Version 4.1 contains numerous small new features, that were requested by our customers. For example, it is now possible to disable Repair and Add/Remove components modes, old installation project converter has been improved, Tab order option has been implemented in User Interface, Demo version now includes a limited version of .Net support module, new project templates are available, etc.

  Don't like Installshield? Consider Ghost Installer!

  Pros: Fast, rich developmental platform. Font installation is powerful. Customer support is FAST (they answered my question in less than an hour and are very knowledgable).

  Cons: Automated skins needs work. There is no MSI. The website community support section is well done but still young.
