Publisher's description of Jac
From Trassare: Jac is a simple calculator that can be run in the console or with a GUI. Skins based on the OYOAHA framework may be applied to the GUI. The GUI also displays past operations and it can save sessions to a file. All operations are performed using infix notation only. Exponents and roots are supported. Console mode is good for situations where you may need a calculator in your scripting. Version 1.1.232 correct program logging operation at the command-line, revised help information.Editor's review of Jac
Despite a lengthy load time, this simple calculator performs basic as well as a few advanced computations. Jac is a self-executable program which requires no installation, though you need the Java Runtime Environment installed in your computer. The interface works smoothly, and any user will find it very comprehensible. You can use the mouse or your computer's keyboard to enter figures. As you would expect from any number-crunching tool, the program can perform basic arithmetic operations. The only extra feature it offers is the ability to perform a few exponential operations. Results are instantly displayed in an extra field and calculation history can be saved within a text file. This freeware works fine for any level of user for doing straightforward daily computations.
