This composer mentions Philip Glass as an influence, but he lives and writes in Kauai, where penning dark mood music is a test of memory. It's no surprise that Tweedy's peppy tracks outsmile Glass by miles. Nevertheless, their swooping strings and pianos do drop hints of avant-garde knowledge.
Biography
Kevin Fletcher Tweeedy had a distinguished and successful career in computer software, culminating in founding a software company in 1991. Since 2002 he has lived on the "garden isle" of Kauai in Hawaii and has been devoting all his energies to making music.
