Mail Inspector 2004 is a small remote e-mail client. It can scan your mailboxes (POP3 and IMAP4) for new mail, which will be displayed with sender, receiver, subject, date, and size. You can delete messages directly without the need to download them. You can also write instant e-mails. When Mail Inspector 2004 registers new mail, it will display an animated icon in your task bar. Mail Inspector will also mark possible spam for deletion.

Version: Mail Inspector 2004 4.0.20.135

"Simple POP / IMAP4 Client that works great"

Pros: Free for a single account! Installed on my work PC, I can monitor my home account easily. I have used all versions of mail Inspector over the last 5 years with few problems.

Cons: A little tricky for a novice to configure to work.
