From M:science Messaging Technology:

M:science SMS Server integrates with your systems, applications, and SMTP compatible e-mail system including Microsoft Exchange Server, Lotus Notes/Domino, and Novell GroupWise for 2-way SMS text messaging to mobile phones. Developer tools are available for you to add 2 way SMS capability to your own applications or Web sites.

The software has full active directory support and powerful OBDC connectivity options as well as a host of new features. Delivery of the text messages can be made through our own Internet SMS gateway, a GSM modem, or a PSTN/tap dial-up modem depending on your needs.
