From VIO Systems: NameMage generates random rules-based names for characters for use in roleplaying games such as Advanced Dungeons and Dragons. Many rules sets are supplied (e.g Dwarven, Orcish, Arthurian, Celtic etc) and its a snap to create your own.

Great Little Program

Pros: Great program for MMORPG players. Even if you tweak the results a little, as I do. For me it provides inspiration, and I usually change the spelling or combine first names from generation with the last name of another.

Small file size also is a plus.

Cons: An update with an more modern looking GUI might be nice.

Very Nice!

Pros: It's very easy to use and there's no hardship at making your own naming rules. I've already made half a dozen new ones! All of the names are in alphabetical order, too, so you know where to look!

Cons: I'd suggest a better copying interface for instant copying, as well as the ability to resize the window.
