Open Video Converter is an easy-to-use tool for video conversion, splitting, and editing. It converts video formats such as MPEG, AVI, ASF, and WMV to AVI. The application changes the frame size, frame rate, video-compression codec, and audio-compression codec.
The key features include converting MPEG, WMV, ASF, MPG, VCD, OGM, DAT, and SVCD files to AVI; encoding AVI with DivX and XviD; splitting a video file into smaller pieces; changing the frame size, and adjusting the video-aspect ratio; changing the clip file size by choosing the encoding bit rate; and changing the video and audio compression codec for AVI files. There also is an open-compression system for video and audio. Version 3.1 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.
