This simple but admittedly clever iPod add-on helps you find bars, mix drinks, and maybe even pick up members of the opposite sex. To install Party-Pod Pro, you simply copy it to the Notes folder found on your MP3 player. If you have a color iPod, you can install pictures of different types of drinking glasses. The program's organizational structure is easy to understand at first glance, with categories such as Bar and Club Locator, Drink Recipes, Drinking Games, and Pickup Lines. The bar finder is conveniently arranged into sections for college towns, spring-break destinations, and international destinations. This demo won't let you see drinking establishments in all cities, but you will find a good deal of information for good-time towns such as Las Vegas, Rome, New York, and Miami. Nor will the trial version let you view all drink recipes, but it gives you enough of an idea of what you'd get if you decide to pay the low registration fee. Traveling iPod owners who like to go out and have fun will find Party-Pod Pro a useful companion.
