This DJ tool gets down to business with support for multiple playlists, powerful commands for altering song order and automatic song mixing. You can play music with the internal player or through Winamp. The application's features include music library organized by year/genre/artist/album, tool-tip-status information for the songs and playlists, powerful ID3 editor, JukeBox module for karaoke bars and clubs, and RadioDJ module for scheduling songs and commercials. In addition, you can paste your playlists from PartyDJ directly to a CD burner or MSN chat to have them transferred.

Version 7.0 includes refreshed user interface and many enhanced options.

If you're preparing to throw a party, make sure this jukebox application is on the invite list. PartyDJ offers a nice set of tools for organizing music tracks, creating playlists, and automating mixes. You can manage multiple playlists and schedule songs for a certain time, though the latter feature is unavailable in the trial version. As you might expect, PartyDJ plays music itself, but it can use Winamp if you prefer. We especially liked the Media Walker feature, which lets you quickly locate songs by variables such as artist, year, and album. It's a snap to generate a new playlist by filtering an existing one, and you can edit your files' ID3 tags if something is amiss. Though not for advanced DJs, this application will be a lot of fun at your next social gathering.

  "For music lovers/pros: Player that goes beyond Winamp and Media Player"

  Pros: A tool for pros and music lovers

  - Media Walker lets you organize and play your music by gender, artist, album

  - Really great in reading and EDITING ID3 tags, only player that I know that does this

  - Let you see what other people in the WWW (Whole Wide World) are listening and you can chat with them

  - Helps you with search for missing codecs

  - Can play videos

  - Powerful in organizing your music library

  - Very, very affordable

  Cons: - Graphics is not that great

  - Does not refreshes folders automatically in search for new files
