Publisher's description of Pass-It

From Moonlight Software:

Pass-IT allows you to archive data (commonly known as 'zipping') by compressing the contents into one .exe file. The major advantage of this over other popular compression utilities is that the person you're sharing files with doesn't need to have Pass-IT (or any un-archiving utility) on their system in order to open your Pass-IT archive. Best of all, you can select any file within your Pass-IT archive and have it automatically open or run as soon as the receiver opens your archive. The less savvy computer users on your list will thank you over and over again. In version 1.5 you can now select and archive an entire folder.

Remove and block all types of spyware on your computer.
Compile different file types into one for easier sharing.

This handy application creates self-extracting archives on the fly, but it demonstrates an anemic file-compression performance. Pass-It transforms a compressed file into a self-extracting EXE that is much easier to share than other compressed files since it doesn't force a recipient to decode it using the same program. Pass-It's neat and straightforward interface makes it easy for newbies to create archives. It's simple to add individual files or even a whole directory, and we like that you can view the overall compression progress. The program also offers password protection for archived files. The program is fast; however, we were perplexed there is no way to cancel the compression process unless you terminate it using the Task Manager. Although Pass-It offers nine compression rates, the highest level is less tightly compressed than we expected, especially when compared to competing applications. Novices will find it easy to work with, but it barely passes as a file-compression tool.
