Simple Start is for first-time QuickBooks users and can't import data from prior versions of QuickBooks Basic, Simple Start, Pro or Premier Editions, Quicken or Peachtree. Version 2009 lets users track up to 20 customers and import data from Microsoft Excel 2000/2002/2003/2007.
Note: The Download Now link will download a small installer file to your desktop. Remain online and double-click the installer to proceed with the actual download (320MB). QuickBooks Simple Start is now bundled with Google Desktop Search. Installation of these component is optional.

Version: QuickBooks Simple Start Free Edition 2009
"Fastest easiest most accurate bug-free QuickBooks FREE"
Pros: 4 month heavy pre-release tester/user: QB keeps making the fastest & easiest small business software. 2009 so much better that CPAs like us will now only upgrade old versions. Even the free version quickly & easily exchanges files with accountants.
Cons: There is now absolutely nothing bad I can say
Summary: The Live Community center provides much faster & better support. The new Accountant Copy & bank reconciliation features will let clients keep using files while we work much more effectively. Then it will quickly & easily post our changes... read more >>
