The soundtrack pulses as you break the bricks with your ion sphere and try to advance. Power-ups keep every level fresh, and four difficulty levels let you customize your challenge. There's a huge number of levels to get through--170 in all. The full version features unlimited play, 170 game levels, four difficulty levels (Easy, Normal, Hard, and Insane), a pounding techno soundtrack, 15 different power-ups (some good, some bad), 13 specialty bricks, high scores, and statistic tracking.

Even though it adds nothing revolutionary or surprising to the classic Breakout blueprint, this polished offering is well worth considering. Rebound takes Breakout into outer space, where you must use your spaceship to bust up increasingly larger formations of bricks. As is the case in many similar games, collecting various bonuses will change ball behavior or give you extra powers. We had no complaints about the excellent 2D graphics or sound effects, and we appreciated the abilities to adjust both the audio and the game brightness to our liking. Playing Rebound with your mouse is an intuitive experience, but we still would have liked an option for controlling the game via our keyboard. If you re keen on Breakout-style games, we think you ll find this one makes a quality choice.

"Never got it started"

"Excellent, with one minor problem"

"Great Game"

Summary: This is one game that will keep you entertained for hours! Multiple levels of increased difficulty make this one a real challenge. Beware, you may have trouble trying to re-download if necessary!
