This freeware utility adds a little pizazz when you click icons, though its options are minuscule. UberIcon doesn't have an interface; its options are accessible via the icon it places in your system tray. It only gives two plug-ins to animate your icons and both have minor settings modifications. Available in 18 languages, you can activate and disable this utility from the tray icon, and you can set UberIcon to start up alongside Windows. The program worked flawlessly on our XP test machines, but posed some stability issues when we tested it using Windows 2000. Nevertheless, UberIcon brings novelty to your desktop icons, and, rightfully so, it won't cost you a penny.

  Pros: this is a nice tool FREE and cost only 5MB of free ram

  its really good if you are bored

  Cons: nothing till now

  A nice addition for any desktop..

  Pros: This program is very lightweight, in that it uses few resources. Due to this, it will run well on slower computers. It's stable, reliable, and ads some really cool customization options to Windows.

  Cons: It's still being developed and could use a wider variety of additional plug-ins and effects.

  Great little customization tool

  Pros: Great product, there are two or three styles to choose from

  but you can go to thier website for more effects

  and its only takes up an amazing 2,000kb of memory

  I wish Windows came with something like this

  Pros: Adds a very nice effect when you click on your folders, icons, etc. I've had this for a while and haven't gotten remotely tired/annoyed by it yet!

  Cons: When I installed it, it didn't seem to want to put a shortcut in startup so that it would start whenever I logged on. (Not to hard to fix--just create a shortcut to UberIcon and put it manually in the startup folder).
