Version: Viewing Booth Pro 2.1
"works fine - none of the problems of other reviews"
Pros: Needed something quickly to replace the dysfunctional HP Scanjet (ahem) 'Pro' non-software because I'm soooo tiiired of wrestling with it.
Installed in a snap, runs fine. The password and mailing list is not spam; you may unsub at any time, but I'll probably read it. Can't beat it for the *price* and the fact that it *works*. Hint hint HP!!
Cons: Limited to 1200 DPI which doesn't match my 7400c 2400, but for a quick fix and casual scans that's fine for now. Personally I don't need the image editing bells 'n whistles but some folks might find it useful.

Version: Viewing Booth Pro 2.1
"Worse than downloading nothing."
Cons: First they make you give your email to a web page so they can give you a password to unlock it. As soon as you get your confirmation email, you also get a spam. The least they could do was wait five minutes to make it less obvious.
Then I ran the program, got a nag screen asking me to buy it. I hit continue, and the program crashed. End of story.
