A screensaver with personality, this program gives computer users a digital pet--a parrot, in this case--that they can train over time. Vina is a talking parrot, and "training" amounts to recording phrases it will repeat back while the screensaver is operating. The graphics are fairly rudimentary and the animation is jerky, but users can select from four background images for the bird. The pitch and vibration level of Vina's speech also can be changed, so the words don't sound like a simple recording. If you're looking for a screensaver with a bit more character than average, Vina might be just the thing.

"Absolutlty Hysterical!!"

Pros: This stupid parrot is SO addicting!! I love this thing! When I heard it pronounce the first word I tried teaching it, I went nuts! Download this! It'll entertain you for days!!

Cons: Starting bird calls are rather highly pitched and blast rather loudly out of a speaker.
