Version: Vindigo 2.0
"Long time friend, lost to time."
Pros: Invaluable. Used for almost 5 years.
Left behind...
Cons: No plans for Windows Mobile 5 support. Or new Palm (ie 680/7xx) support.
Are you kidding me?
They are so 2004.
Who does their Product development?
Who does their Marketing? Most of their screenshots assume we have ten year old equipment.

Version: Vindigo 2.0
"I am at a total loss - Since going to WM5 - I have lost a gret resouce."
Pros: Vingo provided a thorough, realistic array of entertainment info - Movies, restaurant, shopping, and intellectual and night-time spots. Locations that lower the snobs stuff from Zagat.
Cons: I am a PPC-6700 owner that lives on the Windows Mobile 5 platform and I can no longer use my 5+ year friend. Shame on the folks at Vindigo for ignoring the rapid growth into this format the the loyal users of past. When asked for support they were courteous and not reluctant to provide a refund. I'd rather pay more to get this valuable offering back

Version: Vindigo 2.0
"Great resource, but seemingly not supported anymore"
Pros: The interactive *offline* map is still handier and better than google maps etc.
Great resource for finding bars/restaurants and directions to etc.
Cons: No support for Windows Mobile 5 !!
I am running it anyway and it mostly works with some occasional graphic problems.
Their knowledge base still "strongly recommends" not to install it on WM 5, i.e. you're on your own.
I wrote them an emailand got no reply.
The copyright on their site is still 2005 !
That seems about right.
A shame, I really liked the service.
I also noticed that there is no way to cancel the auto-renew for the subscription. Stupid, now I'll have to get AMEX to dispute the charge. Will see.
Wish I could find a WM alternative.

Version: Vindigo 2.0
Summary: I've had no problems with the service. As far as the comments go about the free version having less functionality, well what did you expect? The service is very helpful and up-to-date. They could work out a way to have directions listed for every... read more >>
