Editor's review of WarpSpeed Browser
2.0 stars
A confusing interface, poorly written Help file, and a defunct publisher's Web site are the three main strikes against this Web browser. The WarpSpeed Browser is an eyesore, with a bottom bar full of unnamed buttons, tiny navigation icons with no tooltips, and numerous tabs. The address field stands alone at the top of the browser. The help file offers some answers, but more inadvertent humor. One feature promises to stop dialogs with buttons that could "start popping up some craps and start injecting Trojans, Spywares or virus onto you computer." While we see typos even in some professionally designed programs, we've never seen "craps" in a feature description.
As far as its browsing capabilities, we didn't see any noticeable surfing speed increase. During testing, the only thing WarpSpeed Browser accomplished quickly was to lock up. Not a single test session ended without the window freezing. Unlike other browsers, WarpSpeed Browser doesn't ask users to choose it as the default browser. Instead, it simply blocks Internet Explorer from running concurrently. You can easily uncheck this option, but you'll have to first find it in the program's confusing options window.
As noted, the browser's publisher Web site is defunct. We suggest you don't bother finding out how to register this program. We can state with absolute certainty that there are better browsers on the market, and that you're better off not even trying to figure out this one.
