They blew 2000 rival bands out of the water 5 years ago at the international band competition Emergenza as were proclaimed best unsigned band in Europe. They got their just reward – Indie label Undertow presented asked them with a dotted line to sign in a typical win-win situation for both artist and label. It’s now time for the band’s second album and German music lovers, you better be listening! Keane and Mando Diao producer Ronald Bood led Olle and John Grönlund on guitar, Johan on bass, Andreas on drums, and Joel on vocals to a truly magnificent accomplishment. The band manages with ease between beautiful ballads, intensive New York style rockn’roll and typical Nordc power pop passion. There are no fillers on this album filled with at least 3 instant classics. The single “Attention: Ms.” is an open declaration to an old flame, with a brilliant riff suported by syncopated beats. The track Pacobell is medodic candy with cinnamon spice sure to drive any emo fan crazy with delight. Finally, Look at you Now delivers an amazing groove impossible to resist and Joel Ekelöf’s falsetto shows that he is able to give more than Julian Casblanca or Fran Healy talking and singing style, as he reminds us of Morten Harket’s best moments (a-Ha.) The magic last 33 minutes. Not one note too many or too few."
