Editor's review

It began in the '60s when Marty and Bob Abegg both fronted the almost-famous melodic pop rock band the Page Boys. This century, they're still getting together with the help of other capable musicians, adding spiritual and inspirational elements to their unique collaboration.

Biography

"Aging" rockers reliving their youth. These 2 brothers fronted The Page Boys, a popular rock band in Peoria, IL in the late 60s. It was an unusually talent rich city as competing bands included the likes of Dan Fogelberg, Gary Richrath (of REO Speedwagon), Mike Somerville of Head East, and Danny Beard (of the 5th Dimension). Bob and Marty's band flirted with success when they were signed by Audio Fidelity Records. Their cover of the Hollies "Charlie and Fred" was never released and eventually the band broke up. During the early 70s, Marty and Bob carved a niche in the growing Christian rock movement of the time. As we fast forward to the new century, Marty is a recognized Dead Sea Scrolls Scholar teaching at a university in British Columbia. Bob serves in a church in the Dallas area. Once a year they revive the old days and record together. Many of these songs are the outcome of those sessions. Their earlier music from the 60's and the years of the Page Boys can also be found on download.com.
